Around the Year in 52 Books | 2020

Hello all and Happy Leap Year day! Is that a thing? I am going to make it a thing. I love that we’re nearly at the end of Feb because I don’t want to be super British and moan about the weather, but I cannot deal with how bad the weather has been this month. So to celebrate the end of the month

As the year goes by and I begin to fulfil the challenges, I plan to update the list and state which book I read. I am also planning on updating my Goodreads throughout. If you decide to take part too then there is a great Goodreads group that is the epicentre of all things relating to the reading challenge and has hints and ideas if you’re struggling for an idea in a particular area! Fat Friday: Week 8

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s Black Friday everyone, even all of us here in the UK have embraced this shopping phenomenon and taken it as an excuse to go crazy with our cards an buy things that we definitely didn’t need but absolutely wanted. I’ve taken it as a prime opportunity to crack on with my Christmas shopping! Thanksgiving was always going to be a hard week for me for a multitude of reasons, but, throw in an impromptu cake sale and recovering from illness, and it became even harder. Let’s not moan too much though eh?

Fat Friday: Week 4

Hellooooooooo. Was that spooky? It was meant to be spooky. Because, y’know, it’s almost Hallowe’en. Annnnnnnyway, good evening and welcome to another edition of Fat Friday. I have a long weekend off this weekend, which means I have had a Friday off that will lead into a Saturday off and a Sunday off. I realise that it is obvious what a long weekend means, but I so rarely get them that I am making a point of emphasising all of the days off in a little row. It’s the little things in life y’know!
