Back in Bangkok…ish

DSCF2243And we’re back on the road, literally. I think I will be done with buses forever when I return to England. The chaotic madness that is Mochit bus station, is thankfully, a memory I don’t have to think much more about now, and after a relatively decent bus journey from Roi-Et to Bangkok, we have landed safely in our hotel ready for action. On the night train to the end of the tour

Chiang Mai has so much to do, and there is so little time. Despite the late night, early mornings are necessary to see special cites, such as the temple on the hill or Thai cooking lessons. Not that we could do both, we sacrificed the latter to see the monks. Nothing could be as embarrassing as last time, and after the bell debacle and the offering fiasco, it’s probably about time we got some good karma going. Toilet Wars: Return of the Squat

I love Laos. I have been here a day, and I absolutely love it. I don’t care about the vast distances we are going to shift in various transports, or the increased malaria risk, or the increased language barrier, it is a beautiful country. Last night was really nice, which has made getting up early to check-out and tuk tuk around arches and temples that much easier.
