Books I’ll Probably Never Read Tag

I haven’t done one of these tags for quite some time, but the lovely Lucinda @ Lucinda is Reading... tagged me in this little number and it intrigued me. I have quite the fascination in reading posts about what books people don’t like or aren’t interested in that are popular, so it was the perfect time to be tagged, thanks Lucinda!!

Without much preamble, let’s get on with the show: Continue reading “Books I’ll Probably Never Read Tag”

The Cheesiest Book Tag

I was looking for a nice tag to do on this Wednesday evening whilst I relaxed and watched the football (if watching the football can be called relaxing). I was looking on Thrice Read, because I think we all know by now that the home of the good book tag is on their blog! And because I love books and cheese, I decided that this was the best tag for me! 50 Questions You’ve Never Been Asked Tag

It’s a Saturday evening, in the middle of March, and it’s snowing. Again. It’s bloody freezing, and I am sat with a hot water bottle on my knee wrapped up in a blanket like a burrito (it hasn’t stopped me indulging in a little mint choc chip ice cream though). Happy St. Patrick’s day too, I’m celebrating by staying in, reading Ragdoll and watching Jessica Jones. I don’t know what you have planned, but my night is most definitely top notch.

My housemate Emma, over at The Terror of Knowing, introduced me to a hefty 50 question tag consisting of questions that you probably haven’t been asked before. I also enjoyed Emma Oulton’s video post too, her channel Drinking by my Shelf is too hilarious. Combine these two together and I couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon. The Feminist Book Tag

This week saw the world celebrate International Women’s Day. I have to admit, I let it fly by relatively under the radar. The reason, I don’t think I could possibly begin to thank everyone who has had an influence in making me who I am today, or all of the women (and men) who have made me a stronger woman. I would undoubtedly classify myself as a feminist. I definitely want equality for everyone, and so when I saw a feminist book tag @ Karis Books I definitely thought it was perfect timing.

The Reading Habits Book Tag

I was having a nosey at some other blogs, and after repeated mentions of Thrice Read by my friend Emma @ The Terror of Knowing, I decided to have a look at their site myself. I stumbled across this tag pretty quickly, and decided it would make a nice Thursday Tag to do.

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

I will read anywhere in the house. I like to read in bed, which is possibly the place I read most often in the house. If not my bed then it’s likely to be in the living room, sprawled on a couch or chair. I also listen to a lot of audiobooks in the kitchen while washing up.

The Sunshine Blogger Award

I was looking for a light, fun Sunday post, and found that I had been nominated to complete this by the lovely Wandering Waffles.I haven’t posted as much about travel likely as I should have or would like to have, so this is the perfect way of getting my travel post shoes back on.

The Sunshine Blogger is an award given to bloggers by bloggers for bringing creativity, positivity and sunshine into the lives of readers. And of course, there are a few rules that we have to follow: Continue reading “The Sunshine Blogger Award”

Books, General’s 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime Tag

Hi everyone! How has your Saturday been? I think I am ready for February to be over now, because as much as I love jumpers and sweaters and blankets, I am not about cold winds, cold rain, or dark nights AND dark mornings. The sun this week has made me ready for spring. Thankfully, February has pancake day, it has just 28 days, and this year, it has the Winter Olympics. Emma and I are borderline Curling experts now! What is it about pushing stones, and then brushing some ice, that is so captivating?

Last week, I did a blog meme based on’s 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime and it’s safe to say that I had not read many of the books on the list. I actually hadn’t heard of many of the books, embarrassingly, but also didn’t feel like it was a list that was truly reflective of what I thought a top 100 books should be, so I’ve also decided to do the list too.

1. Include a link back to Amazon’s official 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime
2. Tag Perfectly Tolerable, the creator of this meme
3. Tag the person who nominated you (I wasn’t nominated by anyone, but saw this on Lucinda is Reading)
4. Copy the list of books and indicate which titles you have read.
5. Tally up your total.
6. Comment on the post you were tagged in and share your total count.
7. Tag five new people and comment on one of their posts to let them know.

Let’s get on with the list: Continue reading “’s 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime Tag”
