Down the TBR Hole #6

Welcome back to this actually quite regular and cathartic feature one my blog! I am really enjoying culling my TBR list down to books I actually have an interest in reading and want to keep on my list. It’s fascinating to see what past Liz thought would be good to add on my list, and trying to understand why added books that I don’t actually remember ever seeing or clicking on! Down the TBR Hole #5 saw series bite the bullet, and classics saved from the TBR bin. Much like last week, it is a mixed bag of books. Today we start at 223, let’s see what happens!

So, how does it work?

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Welcome back to this actually quite regular and cathartic feature one my blog! It’s fascinating to see what past Liz thought would be good to add on my list, and trying to understand why added books that I don’t actually remember ever seeing or clicking on! Down the TBR Hole #4 saw a cull of romance and Belinda Jones biting the proverbial dust, whereas this week’s edition is a little more varied and if I am being quite honest, interesting! ! Today we start at 231 books, let’s see what happens!

It’s fascinating to see what past Liz thought would be good to add on my list, and trying to understand why added books that I don’t actually remember ever seeing or clicking on! Down the TBR Hole #3 saw some varied and big hitting authors featured, whereas this week’s edition is a little same same if I am honest because I went on a single author run back in 2015! You’ll see what I mean in a moment! Today we start at 239, let’s see what happens!

Down The TBR Hole #2

Welcome back one and all to Down the TBR hole, where I am attempting to reduce my TBR in number and remove any unwanted books from the list. My list is not insurmountable, and I have made a good effort in reducing it this year, but I want to try and remove any of the books that I no longer want to read, and remove the ones that are only on there because I think they should be and not because I actually want to read them. OK, so, last time I managed to ditch a few reads and my TBR ended on 233 books, but since then I have added books I have received as gifts and added books that I have acquired through charity book hauls, so it currently actually stands at 244 books.

So, how does it work?

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books

Down the TBR Hole #1

Hello all, and welcome to a new feature on my blog: Down the TBR Hole. I have seen this post type on my friend Emma’s blog for a while now (click here to read her posts), and is something I have meant to do on my own blog for some time now. My TBR is not currently insurmountable by any means, but it’s growing and growing and I have no idea what’s actually on there or if I even want to read everything on the list anymore, so I am going to try and shorten the list, or at the very least remove things I don’t care about reading to add things I want to finish on there.

If you’d like to follow me on Goodreads, then please follow the following link and ‘Add Friend’.
