Book Haul #3

Sooo….here we are again. I know what I said in mid-March OK? I know I admitted to an addiction, and I know that I told you all that I was thinking about limiting amount of books that I would buy (again) but then I didn’t. At all. In any way. Since March 19th, when I posted Book Haul #2, I have bought, received, been given, acquired, 23 books in total. OK, so on the day of posting, that averages more than a book every 3 days. Sigh. I give in.

*I’ve struggled with blogging recently so this is a little out of date and will be followed shortly by #4. Don’t judge Haha!!

Bout of Books 19/USA Trip TBR

This week is a big week for me. I am leaving on an action packed trip on Wednesday to the USA, and this week is Bout of Books 19 too. I technically signed up last week here, but I wanted to create a Bout of Books 19/USA Trip TBR list. I have a few days of the readathon, then I fly to the USA, so all in all I need around 12 days of books to read for all occasions. Continue reading “Bout of Books 19/USA Trip TBR”

Top Ten Tuesday: Books from my childhood and teens I’d like to revisit

toptentuesdayI am technically cheating writing this on Monday while waiting for my transfer, but I like being involved in this group, so I am going to do it and schedule it for tomorrow anyway. I haven’t done it for a few weeks, so it will be nice to do a post like this again. Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Books from my childhood and teens I’d like to revisit”

Judge a book by its cover

Let’s be honest here, in all walks of life we judge books by their covers. We may say we don’t, we may like to think we don’t – but we do. I know I am very guilty of doing this with actual books – i’d like to think that proverbially, I don’t all into this trap as much.

I love books, I love reading, I love bookshelves, I love libraries, I love book shops, and I love bookends. There is nothing more I hate than getting a book and then having to give it away/sell it. Well there is, owning a partial collection (I suffer this in both the Sylvia Day Crossfire series and The Twilight saga – I never intend to re-read either, but the fact they’re not complete bugs me no end) or owning a complete collection of hotch-potch editions (again, The Twilight saga: Twilight – paperback movie edition, New Moon – paperback normal edition, Eclipse – missing, Breaking Dawn – hardback normal edition) as both mess up the (vague) order of my bookshelf.
