Can you believe that it’s Sunday night and the weekend is already over…again? No me neither, time seems to disappear so fast at the weekend! This weekend has highlighted my poor time management, so this weekend I have decided to start planning ahead. For someone who is inherently more laid back and has more of a ‘it’ll all work out alright in the end’ attitude, this is a fairly big step and a major decision. How am I going to do this you ask? Well, with a calendar and a bullet journal resurrection of course! Continue reading “Bullet Journal: The Ressurection”
Adulting….isn’t it hard work, eh? For those of you who know me, you’ll probably know that I am fairly laid back. For those of you who don’t know me, I try my best to go with the flow, and often live in the midst of organised chaos that works for me! I have enjoyed the freedom, and the time that working different shifts has allowed me, I enjoy the long weekends it gives me off to enjoy myself, and I like the early finishes, and the lie-ins it sometimes affords me. However, I absolutely love routine, which contradicts this completely.
But the one thing my life is currently missing is routine. I used to have a real routine nailed down to the second. I try not to waste time in the mornings, and I used to have an almost military timed routine in place. You’re probably thinking this goes against all that I have just said about being chilled out, but the routine I build lets me be like that. I don’t like faffing so I know how long every task takes me, and know how long I can sleep in for, and at the end of the day, it gives me more time to be relaxed. I feel like a lack of routine is starting to really wear me down.
*Sorry for the long, pathetic rant that is about to ensue/lack of sense in the content! Continue reading “Adulting: Routine”
I hate this day, the day when Bout of Books comes to an end and I feel a little bit lost. Because I will miss the daily posts, the structured reading, the challenges, the twitter chats, and of course all the lovely bout of bookers who join in. Sigh, at least the FA Cup continues today. At least I have things to do and Sherlock is on again tonight. What am I going to do without Taboo and Sherlock to look forward to at the weekend? Continue reading “Bout of Books 18: Day 7”
I’m getting that Friday feeling. I have nothing major planned for the weekend except lounging around, a cinema trip, and a Tavern breakfast, and it is glorious to think of doing so little. Well, not little, reading, watching, and bullet journalling. Just a 10hr shift before then. Not too bad….?! Oh wait, the gym after… Continue reading “Bout of Books 18: Day 5”
Since Emma moved in, I have made a concerted effort to be more organised. In some cases, such as the state of my room, or the organisation of the downstairs areas have taken (well, are taking) longer than other aspects of my life, but it is safe to say that since she has moved in I have been developing what resembles a routine. And that’s what we need in life, no? Whether it’s remembering to cook, or actually making my bed, I am doing my best to have habits and routines that involves healthier practices, and not perfecting couch-potatoing.
