Top Ten Tuesday: Best Audiobooks

There are so many ways to consume stories. Books are different when they’re read and when they’re heard and audiobooks hold a special place in bringing books to life. Whether it’s a story you wouldn’t have otherwise experienced or finished, a story that was brought to life in a new and interesting way, or a character embodied by the voice and personality of the narrator, audiobooks are and important part of my reading life and an under-appreciated reading format. Yes, audiobooks count!

I read a lot of audiobooks, I commute upwards of 1hr per working day, so I can listen to a few books a month in the car and while I am cleaning, and have discovered some hems over the last couple of years that I couldn’t wait to share.

For all of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is, or don’t know how to get involved, click here. The lovely folks at Broke and Bookish teamed together to create this awesome weekly prompt, which is now hosted by the wonderful Jana @ The Artsy Reader Girl. Then you simply get listing!

February: It’s a Wrap

It’s absolutely freezing. I’m sitting here, under a blanket, with a hot water bottle, a mocha, and my Gryffindor jumper on, looking out of the window at the grey, windy, cold weather and just thinking nahhhhh. I’ve been out in it (to my parent’s house) and it’s just so cold, so, I’ve decided to curl up and get some blogging done instead. So, yes, on with the post.

HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY GUYS! What better way to celebrate World Book Day than looking back at all the awesome books I had a chance to read in February? I read another odd mix of books throughout the month, and I am still managing to keep up the trend of only reading new books to me. I’m quite proud of myself for not re-reading anything yet! A Love for Narration

If you have followed my blog for a while then you will probably realise that I acquire and consume books at a very fast rate. I love to read and immerse myself in a good story, and will do so in anyway whether it’s graphic novels or audiobook, tomes or e-books, if I can read it then I’ll probably give it a go. Adulting: Commuting

I have been working at Avios for approaching 18 months now, and it has so far been a great success. I enjoy my job, the field I work in, and I love the people I work with. The only downside, if any, is the distance between my home and my workplace. When I moved into my place, I knew how far it was away, and chose a place that had good access to my job, and yes, I chose to live in Liverpool rather than an area closer to my workplace, but that doesn’t remove the inevitable 50 mile round trip I do every day I go to work.
