One Player tamed. One nerd girl satisfied. And one more major life decision to make. When Will fell for Hanna, her quirky sense of humor and fierce dedication to her career were part of the attraction. (Not to mention her coy newbie attitude toward sex and her willingness to let him teach her everything.) But when the job offers start rolling in for her—and oh, they do—Hanna has trouble deciding what she wants, where they should live, and how much she should burden Will with the decision. Magic between the sheets is only one part of a relationship…getting on the same page is quite another altogether.

I loved this and I hated this. Will and Hanna are back, and as you will have all noticed, they are my favourite characters within this story arc. Snippets of their lives have creeped into the novels and novellas since Beautiful Player and they have become engaged in that time, but we haven’t actually seen their relationship or how it’s changed.

I really liked the insight into Will and Hanna’s life that we saw. I enjoyed reading about the adult discussions about life and life decisions that are somewhat missing from the other books and stories. Big life decisions, moving house, getting a new job, furthering education, is a big step for any couple to make and take, whether they are new or established. I really enjoyed that the focus was on furthering Hanna’s education and working experience as her career was the one that had room for growth and was definitely her passion.

I didn’t like the actual content of the discussions, and I didn’t really like the flow or the novella itself. After a few pages I was reading to finish it to start the next full length book, rather than really enjoying it. Even though there was a focus on her growth, Will definitely put pressure on her to make a decision she wasn’t yet ready to make. Yes, the pressure did help her prioritise what was important for her, but it wasn’t the greatest side to their relationship or his personality to witness.

As I said at the start, I loved and I hated this, but, the love most definitely outweighed the hate. I hope fun loving and relaxed Will and Hanna feature in the last novel in this series because they are my favourites!
