Hello witches, wizards, muggles, and trolls! OWLs Readathon 2019 is running through the whole of April (check out my sign up post here), so I thought I would do a quick revision update to see how I have been getting on with each exam assignment now as we are a third of the way through the month.
I am still completely undecided on my career path. Well, not, that’s not entirely true, I have narrowed it down, but Curse Breaker and Department of Mysteries worker are still both drawing me in, so for now, I am still working to complete these two. Realistically, I also wanted to obtain Outstanding in my OWLs which meant completing 9 exam topics, so I opted to focus on the subjects I needed for the career paths I am interested in, and then filled in the topics I also really wanted to read for too.
I’ve had a great month/readathon so far! Last year, I caught this readathon just after it had started and unfortunately was in a reading slump so didn’t feel like I made the most of it. I was determined to do it properly this year, and have read a decent amount so far, got through a few topics, and most importantly, I am enjoying what I am reading!!!

I know right? I can’t believe quite how well I am doing either! I have already completed 8 books this month, which I am seriously pleased with! I am about half way through Rebel of the Sands as well, so I think I will probably be 9 subjects down by the end of the weekend. I thought 9 was a really good total to aim for at the end of the month but I am now starting to think I will be able to do the whole lot!! Wouldn’t that be awesome? I don’t actually want to be an alchemist (the hardest career path/most reading) but it is pretty cool to know that might have still been on the menu!
How are you getting on?
What subjects have you completed? What did you read?
What career path have you chosen to follow?
You’re doing great! I had no idea Christina Lauren was a duo! lol. I’ll hopefully be reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle soon too! I’ve heard good things about it.

Yeah they’re a friend duo who have a portamanteaued their names. They’re good, I really like them!!

Go you! I am posting about my progress tomorrow morning, but I already finished 5 books and I only need to read a book for potions to meet all of my OWL subject requirements.

It has been a ton of fun. I did it last year and I love that even more people seem to be doing it as well.

I did it last year but was in a slump so didn’t enjoy it like I am this year. It’s just the best!!

I am glad you are having a better experience! Reading slumps are no fun at all.

They’re rubbish, but I seem to be doing better this year about staving slumps off so that’s good!
