Happy hump day friends, how are we all doing? It’s apparently the worst week of the year right now so I’m quite pleased we have a topic that is looking forwards and not backwards, and that is most definitely hunting for the good things. I think it’s safe to say that my TBR fluctuates with the best of them and that at any time what I want to read is constantly changing, so it’s nice to take stock and have a think about what is currently top of my TBR pile.

The Priory of the Orange Tree Samantha Shannon Folks, I am not going to lie to you, winning this coveted ARC in a giveaway is one of the best things that has happened since being a part of book blogging/bookstagram. I was super excited to get my hands on it because it is being reviewed and praised everywhere. I don’t want it spoiling and I want to be able to read and review a physical ARC before it comes out. I really like fantasy, so it sounds like it’s going to be right up my street.
The Gilded Wolves Roshani Chokshi I was tipped off about this book during a Bout of Books twitter chat, and as soon as I started looking at it it seemed Emma had ordered it. It sounds very Six of Crows-y which is definitely something I want to read, and Emma is loving it right now so that probably means it’s amazing so I need to read it. It’s super pretty too.
Our Dark Duet V E Schwab I go through phases of wanting to put off reading a book I know I will like but will end a series, and wanting to devour it and I have now hit that point where I can’t wait any longer and just really need to read this now. I haven’t read any novels by Schwab in a while, so that needs correcting too.
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle Stuart Turton I read everywhere that this is one of those books that you need to sit down and concentrate on and that you need to be in the right frame of mind to finish and if I am honest, I wasn’t the first time round. I am taking part in 24in48 this weekend (look out for a sign up post later this week) and think it will be the perfect time to carve out the time to dedicate myself to this book.
To Kill a Mockingbird Graphic Novel Harper Lee/Fred Fordham This is my favourite book ever, but I have been too scared to re-read it in case it isn’t what I remember it being, but when I saw there was a new edition in graphic novel form, I had to have it. It arrived a week or so ago and has been sitting on my shelf desperate to be read. I can’t wait.
Have you read any of these books? What did you think?
