December TBR

There is nothing else I can say about November’s reading performance other than calling it shambolic. I barely read anything because I was away for half of the month and was very involved in winning NaNoWriMo. I loved writing and the time I was using for other things and ended up devoting to NaNo allowed me to finish 53,000+ words of a comtemporary work in progress, but it came at such a cost. I really want to embrace reading again this month because I love it so much and there are so many stories I really want to shift through. I really need to get a move on and think about things I really want to finish, and not only that, but reignite my love for reading, because last month I only read one book which didn’t really mean I even had enough to do a wrap post about!!

So with that in mind, I am going to try and focus a little bit more on reading and blogging this month, as well as enjoying the Christmas period thoroughly, who’s with me? There is another Magical Readathon this month that is all about preparing for a Magical feast and it couldn’t have come at a better time quite frankly! I also have a reasonably large amount of. time off this month for Christmas, which I am looking forward to immensely and should give me more than enough time to get some reading done.

Shades of Magic: Steel Prince #2 V E Schwab, Enrica Angiolini and Andrea Olimpieri

I loved the first issue of this comic and the second issue dropped on the mat in November, so I’m excited to get round it reading it, ideally before I forget the first one.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Illustrated) J K Rowling

I’ve been reading this illustrated version for months because it’s not very portable and a little cumbersome to physically read. I don’t want to carry this current read into next year.

Seafire Natalie C Parker

I’m a bit of a sucker for a pirate book right now and had been eyeing this one up. Emma bought it me for my birthday and I know I’m gonna want to read it asap.

Our Dark Duet V E Schwab

I started this a while ago and her though I love her and the story, I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to read a physical book.

Vengeful V E Schwab

I have somehow escaped all spoilers for this book and really need it to stay this way until I read this.

If We’re Not Married By 30 Tracey McMillan

I was granted this e-ARC by Bonnier Zaffre, and because I have no chill about books published by them and I am enjoying a lot of fluffy contemporaryat the moment, I had to put this straight on my list.

A Christmas Carol Charles Dickens

It’s the first December since I have owned my own copy of this book and it’s one I really want to read, I’ve put it on my list because it’s the only time of year I can reasonably read it.

What are you reading this December?

  1. Just came across your TBR list and wanted to let you know I host a monthly TBR lineup over at! It happens the first Wednesday, so it goes up tomorrow if you want to join!

I’m hoping for a copy of the illustrated HP books for Christmas 🙂 Hope you enjoy yours!

    1. They’re brilliant if you get them, it’s a completely different reading experience and as close as it’s possible to get to re-reading them for the first time.

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll check it out!
