Hello, hello, how are you? Have you enjoyed Bout of Books 23 so far? Can you believe that tomorrow is halfway through this readathon already? I’ve really enjoyed it so far, and I am really getting some reading done and interacting with lots of new people. It’s great!
I’m also a Bout of Books expert, here to help the lovely ladies at Bout of Books with all your readathon related enquiries, and to offer all round support and help for the readathon! So please, comment on my updates, and tweet me here!
08:10am: I was up early this morning on my day off to either take Emma to work if she felt up to it, or to go out and have breakfast. Not even going to lie to you, the latter happened, which gave me a bit of time to think about what I am going to read next.
13:00pm: Today has been lot’s of sitting round not really doing anything with my actual time, so I have settled in to read an ARC I was granted aged ago and that has since been released (whoops). I read Spellslinger a while ago, and got ARCs for Shadowblack and Charmcaster but just didn’t ever get round to them. Now is the time, it fits for the first Charms task for the NEWTs readathon and allows me to improve my NetGalley rating.
16:45pm: I’ve been out this afternoon so put Shadowblack down, but I managed to read about 35% which I don’t think is bad. I really need to do today’s challenge and Insta Photo.
20:30pm: Emma and I were both a bit antsy this evening. Well, I was, and I knew I wanted to read or watch a chick flick/lit, preferably something with an element of fake dating, or Roomies because I loved that book and need the film already. After much deliberating and a moment of genius from Emma, we put 10 Things I Hate About You on. That film is just so brilliant! It was 100% the right choice.
23:55pm: So the film was awesome, like, just what I needed, and straight after, I decided to keep on the more contemporary chick lit theme and pick up Theatrical. You guys it’s addictive. I read 200 pages in just over an hour and wow I am hooked in. Turns out I also just needed this too.
Today’s challenge is villain-centric and comes courtesy of the lovely Darcus. Let’s get naming our favourite bad-guys, villains, anti-heros, antagonists, all the baddies:
The Dregs | Six of Crows
The Darkling | Grisha Trilogy
Bellatrix Lestrange | Harry Potter Series
Victor and Eli | Villains series
Count Olaf | A Series of Unfortunate Events
Gary Soneji | Alex Cross Series
I think I will probably end up adding to this list throughout the day, so keep your eye out!
