I am desperately trying not to moan about the heat because I really am enjoying the warmer weather and the consistent sun, but it’s been a bit toasty this week, hasn’t it? It’s been a real shame that I have been in work all week and haven’t had the chance to get out and about in it, but I’, going to try and make the most of it. It’s been a fairly standard week, there isn’t too much to say so it might be quite a quick one.

I am officially into summer clothing, and by that I mean everything is flowy and maxi-skirt and long dress, essentially anything that keeps me cool. It’s been beautifully sunny and boiling all week, so I’ve been testing some of my summer wardrobe ready for my holidays. I’ve needed to as well, with work’s air-con troubles and my room resembling a sauna at home, anything that helps me keep cool has been a blessing. I think it’s also made me feel a little bit better regarding the weight loss that I’ve managed as well.
This week has been about the burrito bowl. Emma and I fell in love with Chipotle when we were in the US last year and a favourite meal of ours is the burrito bowl. We make burritos and fajitas all the time at home, but for some reason had never really tried burrito bowls at home. We both wanted a slightly lighter tea but not a salad, so we finally gave the burrito bowl a go and it has changed our meal times. I think we’re addicted. We’ve also tried a low-calorie ice cream brand as a healthier summer snack, and it was perfectly OK. The mint choc chip wasn’t as minty as I would have liked it but it wasn’t too bad, not at all how I feared it would be.
I haven’t exercised much this week because I’ve been tired and haven’t had the time. I have finished MarvelAThon which has been one of the best readathons I’ve ever taken part of, and I have signed up to another series of readathons over the coming months. I’ve almost finished the jigsaw we started a little while ago, and have watched lots and lots of football – because that’s what the world cup is all about folks!
