On this Tuesday evening that kinda feels like a Monday, I bring you this month’s edition of Lootcrate Unboxing. And look, it’s on time(ish)! I know that I’ve moaned over the last 2 posts about about the late arrivals of the boxes, and that last time I decided to cancel my subscription, so this week I am going to do nothing but praise this pretty good crate. This month’s theme is Enchanting Essentials, and unlike the past 2 crates, I did have a spy at the contents on Instagram to see if there was anything I could put on my wall as part of my gallery collection (spoiler: there was). There were lots of Lootcrate exclusives in this box, and lots of things I really liked!
Loot crate is a monthly subscription box full of exclusive collectables, apparel and gear delivered to your door. I am currently subscribed to receive the Wizarding World crate, a bi-monthly subscription that brings the magic of Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts right to your doorstep.
Let’s check out this month’s box:
I think this is my favourite t-shirt we have received so far, I absolutely love it. It’s so simple yet amazing, and is definitely going to be worn when we go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter later in the year. I am a fan of a grey t-shirt, and like how the badge is almost like a darker shadow over the lighter grey of the t-shirt. This is a good Lootcrate exclusive.
Newt Scamander Scrapbook
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS I’VE RECEIVED IN ANY SUBSCRIPTION BOX. Seriously though, Emma and I love making of books, and pop-outs, and this whole idea, so to receive such an amazing one has been really fabulous. The fold outs and extras, the maps and tarot card and adverts are so amazing, we’re debating framing some along with some of the other merch we have and making a Harry Potter feature wall somewhere. It’s still in the planning phase at the moment.
4-Pack Wizarding Journals
These are super pretty and pretty super. There are 4 completely unique designs, each on a small notebook that could fit into a pocket or bag easily. I like my Gryffindor house one, but my favourite it most definitely the winged keys. I decided to offer my friend Emma, who went with the quoted blue sky affair because it was blue for Ravenclaw. I really like that these are all the different house colours. They’re awesome. I wonder if everyone received the same set or whether the houses were done differently, hmmmm?
Double-Sided Wizarding Sign
This is the magical piece that is going to complete my gallery wall. Once side, the sign says Wizards Welcome! Muggles Tolerated, and the other side says: Wizardary at work, No Muggles Allowed. It’s really amazing and fits perfectly with the aesthetic I was going for in my room. I really feel like Lootcrate stepped it up a little this time round.
Hogwarts House Magnet
I am a pretty proud of being Gryffindor, and as I live with a Ravenclaw, I like to be able to show my house pride around the house. We don’t have too many magnets, but this is about to take pride of place on the fridge.
Doe Patronus Pin
Each Wizarding World Loot crate comes with an exclusive magical collector’s pin. Pin collecting is quite big business, so the company have decided to make a pin to go in each box, which is exciting. There is such a limited number that it makes each one extra special. This doe pin is delightfully delicate whilst maintaining a brilliant amount of intricacy. I’m not a pin collector, but this really is stunning and might be my favourite pin so far.
This month was good, like, really good. If I wasn’t saving so hard for Disney and Harry Potter at the end of the year I would be tempted to sign back up to my subscription. My current 3 box subscription has one box left, so make sure you keep your eye out for that, it’s due out in May.
Look out for the next crate unboxing, May’s theme is Hogwarts House Pride!
